• Nutrition and Integrated Nutrient Management:

    Nutreint requirement of sapota is high as it is an evergreen tree. The fertilizer requirement varies with size of the plants. In general the NPK fertilizer requirements in grams per plant for various age groups are: 1-3 years 250:125:125; 4-6 years 500:250:250; 7-10 years 1000:500:500; 11 years and above 1000:500:750; that is applied in two split doses during May and October. In addition, about 40 kg FYM and 5-10 kg Neem cake is applied per plant per year. Foliar spray of micronutrients will enhance the growth and productivity.
